Red Wings aren’t born, they’re carefully nurtured throughout their upbringing, and much of that is done at The Van Andel Arena with The Grand Rapids Griffins. However, it’s not all about hockey there – there’s a business to selling the ever-changing roster to fans.

Nicklas Lidstrom spent 20 years in the Winged Wheel, earning 7 Norris Trophies (Best Defenseman), a Conn Smythe (Playoff MVP), and 4 Stanley Cups during that time. On March 6th, 2014, his jersey number was retired and hung with the rest of the Red Wings legends
