Red Wings release 2021 training camp roster, schedule

With training camp practices set to begin Thursday in Traverse City, the Red Wings released the training camp roster and schedule early Wednesday.

The team will bring 35 forwards, 20 defensemen, and seven goalies:

An interesting tidbit: Kirill Tyutyayev will suit up for the Grand Rapids Griffins this season, so it will be nice to get a handle on what kind of player he is.

Only one player opted to not get the COVID-19 vaccine, and unfortunately that player is Tyler Bertuzzi:

This is concerning news, not only because he has a child on the way, but this decision puts the team at risk. It doesn’t sound like the team will take any action on this, but it means that Bertuzzi won’t be able to travel to Canada, and that means he will be leaving money on the table:

Due to NHL healthy and safety protocols, the previously-announced Training Camp Golf Classic and Alumni and Celebrity Game have been canceled for 2021
