Detroit comes off a huge win against a strong Lightning team and is now up against a team it should match up well with. Nashville is one of the few teams in the NHL with a worse PK than Detroit, and since the Detroit power play is doing much better than earlier in the season, that could be a way for the Wings to jump out to an early lead.

While all that is true, it was also true very recently when Detroit lost a two game series to the same Nashville team by a combined score of 9-1. So it’ll be a good measuring stick game to see if the Wings big win over Tampa can have some carryover effect.

Adam Erne has really turned it on as of late. Not only has his efforts led to him appearing more on the scoresheet, it’s been giving the team a boost. Let’s see more of that tonight.
