This offseason, Detroit Red Wings and Ottawa Senators fans debated hard — and endlessly — over the trade value of Alex DeBrincat.
But when a deal officially came through, it was Red Wings fans who appeared to have gotten the last laugh. DeBrincat signed a four-year, $7.875 million extension with Detroit on Sunday night, and in return, the Senators took defense prospect Donovan Sebrango, 27-year-old winger Dominik Kubalik, a conditional 2024 first-rounder and a 2024 fourth.
