Detroit Red Wings have 4th game postponed, this time at New York Islanders

Detroit Free Press

The Detroit Red Wings found out Tuesday afternoon they would not be traveling to New York after all, because their Wednesday game had been postponed.

It marks the fourth time the Wings have had a game postponed because of COVID-19. They have just come out of a weeklong shutdown, and have not played since defeating the New Jersey Devils on Dec. 18.

Coach Jeff Blashill found out shortly before the team’s 2:30 p.m. practice when general manager Steve Yzerman called with the news.
