2021 NHL Prospect Tournament Game 2 Open Thread – Wings vs. Blues

After a 5-4 victory over Dallas on Thursday in the Red Wings’ first Prospects Tournament match, Detroit finds themselves the visitor in their 2nd game. This time the Wings face the St. Louis Blues’ youngsters.

The game starts at 7pm and will be streamed on the Wings’ Youtube channel.

Due to the schedule and layout of this tournament, the Wings will be done after three games and they’re not giving out the Matthew Wuest Memorial Cup. After the Blues tonight, they finish out against the Blue Jackets Sunday.

The line of Jonatan Berggren, Joe Veleno and Lucas Raymond will continue to be one to watch, but Kiril Tyutyayev, Chase Pearson and Cross Hanas performed exceptionally in the first game. On defense, Donovan Sebrango and Jared McIsaac are the highest picks (3rd round in 2020 and 2nd in 2018), but 5th rounders Alex Cotton and Oscar Plandowski are looking for good showings as well.
