Get those prospects integrated into the team. Let’s see some big nights tonight for guys like Cholowski and Svechnikov. With other players out due to injury or because they’ve been traded, it’s really time for these guys to sink their teeth into this roster and hang on like a bulldog on a steak.

Do it for standings pride! The Wings are one win shy of being on equal footing with Columbus in the wins column. Columbus outpaces Detroit by four points thanks to more OTLs, so catching them in the standings is not possible tonight, but just saying that we have the same number of wins as another team in our division would feel pretty nice.

Stay out of the shootout. It’s a Monday night, for cryin’ out loud. You guys want to do OT and shootouts, do them on a day when we don’t have work tomorrow. Now excuse me while I go and complete my withering into old age like the guy who drinks from the wrong chalice in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
